A Visit to the Farm

This last Sunday and Monday (6/18 & 6/19), we went to visit Grammie and Lana at their farm near Eugene. As you can see, it's a beautiful place:

This is Bree swinging on the deck. We put her here so we could keep an eye on her while we were in the hot tub. :D

This is just a cool little window frame decoration.

Here's a bit of the garden:

Grammie and Lana have 2 horses, 2 sheep, 2 dogs, 2 cats, a pygmy goat and some chickens, not all of which were photographed on this trip. Here's what we got (we'll try to get everyone next time):

Diva

Maurice (who is the loviest cat we've ever met)

Cha

some chickens

and one of the frogs who lives under the hot tub cover at night

And here's the Bree with her Grammie:

And with Akasha, a friend of the family:
It was a great trip and we returned home refreshed and relaxed. We can't wait to visit again!

So Photogenic...

No more pictures, Mom!

Baby Parts

A cute little ear.
A cute little hand.

And what Daddy calls her "cute little monkey feet".

Okay, we got the internet issue resolved. Yay! So here are some pics to get started:

This was taken on 5/10, the day before Brielle was born. I loved dressing in this shirt because it looked like the pocket was actually full!

This is the Salem Hospital's Family Birth Center, where all the action took place!

This is Brielle's official birth announcement picture, taken at the hospital the day after she was born. She arrived on 5/11, which would've been her great-grandma Gunn's birthday. Grandma died on New Year's Day this year, so it was very special to have her arrive when she did. She was 7 lbs 11 oz and 19 3/4 inches long. Welcome to the world!

This was just a cute closeup.

Here she is with socks on her hands, because she kept scratching herself and the hospital didn't have any nail clippers.

Here she is with Daddy.

And with Mommy.

Not pleased with her first car ride. Incidentally, the blankie there is the same one that Grandma Gunn crocheted for me when I was on the way. She won a blue ribbon at the fair for it and my Mom brought me home in it.

Here We Are!

Welcome all to our new blog! We've decided to start documenting our life with our new daughter, Brielle Jaden (thanks to my sister Lynee for the inspiration - check out Brielle's cousins, Solomon and Malachi at lewisboys.blogspot.com). Pictures will be coming soon (as soon as we figure out why my computer, which has the pictures, is not accessing the internet), so keep checking!
